Vietnam and China promote cooperation in COVID-19 prevention

A virtual seminar on COVID-19 prevention and control was held on October 21 between Vietnamese and Chinese agencies.

The event was hosted by the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Commission for External Relations and the Communist Party of China’s International Liaison Department.

The Vietnamese side saw the attendance of representatives of the Central Economic Commission, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Health, and the localities bordering China.

The Chinese side included experts of the State Council’s Development Research Centre, the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Health Commission, and the Ministry of Commerce.

During the seminar, Chinese experts highlighted the country’s experience and measures in COVID-19 prevention and control and post-pandemic socio-economic recovery, as well as measures to support enterprises and workers during the pandemic.

The two sides also discussed prospects of cooperation in fighting the pandemic and measures to boost economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China.
