This is the result of cooperation between the Department of Industry and Trade People's Committee of Da Nang City (DOIT) and the MMC, which aims to cut its carbon emissions.

At the event, Mitsubishi Motors provided two i-MiEV pure EVs, together with a further two Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid EVs, and two quick battery charger units to the DOIT.

These vehicles will enable the MMC and the DOIT to study how EVs can reduce CO2 emissions and utilize popular sightseeing locations, specifically around Da Nang city and the Hoi An World Heritage site.

According to Deputy Director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT)'s Industrial Department, Pham Tuan Anh, the handover follows the conclusion in January of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) through which the MOIT and the MMC committed to exploring how best to promote the use of EVs in the country.
