The dairy company’s brand value accounts for nearly 30% of the total brand value of the 40 companies on the list, up 30% from its brand value in 2017 and 50% from 2016.

Such increases in Vinamilk’s brand value reflect the company’s correct and sustainable strategy, with continual innovations and efforts to maintain its position as the top dairy producer in Vietnam.

Last April, Vinamilk was Vietnam’s only producer of fast-moving consumer goods to make the Nikkei Asia Review’s list of the 300 top companies in Asia for the third year in a row.

In May, Vinamilk was named as Vietnam’s most chosen brand by Kantar Worldpanel.

This is the third time that Forbes Vietnam has compiled a list of the 40 most valuable brands in Vietnam, the total brand value of which reaches nearly US$8.1 billion.

Among the 40 companies, consumer goods producers still make up a lot of the list but financial and banking firms have narrowed the gap since more and more banks are being listed on the stock market.

This year’s second and third positions belong to the two telecoms companies Viettel and VNPT.
