Its logo and livery will also be revamped to be more in line with the livery of Vietnam’s national flag carrier.

The move comes as Qantas is planning to withdraw from the joint venture and transfer all of its stake to Vietnam Airlines as the aviation industry struggles in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Under the new name, Pacific Airlines will also use the VNA booking system to synchronise its operations with the national carrier.

VNA Vice President and Pacific Airlines Chairman Trinh Hong Quang stated that the synchronisation of the booking system and flight network between the two carriers will enhance their performances in both the traditional and low-cost sectors in the post-coronavirus recovery period.

Pacific Airlines is expected to unveil its new brand and logo in mid-July.
