The forum featured the participation of many businesses of the two countries which are operating or interested in the field of agriculture, high-tech digital transformation, towards the optimal model and production line for suppliers and consumers.
At the forum, businesses of the two sides exchanged and discussed the situation of production, consumption, circulation chains, raw materials, agricultural supplies, and the stages of harvesting, processing, preserving and consuming high-quality agricultural products in the context of complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, associated with standards suitable to the markets of both Vietnam and Japan.
The delegates agreed that the Japanese Government is currently paying special attention to Vietnamese agricultural products. The Japanese market is considered to be of extreme potential, especially for Vietnamese fruits that are gradually becoming "greener and cleaner" according to many strict and guaranteed standards.
Meanwhile, agriculture is still an important industry in Vietnam, but it is facing an increasing demand for food and food due to a constantly growing population. Therefore, applying high technology to agricultural production is an inevitable trend.
At the Forum, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation Truong Gia Binh highly appreciated Japan's leading agricultural development in the world. As such, it has been proposed that SBI Group support VIDA and Vietnamese enterprises in using traceability and preservation technology for a number of key agricultural product groups of Vietnam in 2022.
At the same time, it has also been proposed that Japan side support VIDA and its member businesses to negotiate with distributors and retailers in Japan in purchasing seafood, fresh fruit, and processed fruit from Vietnam. VIDA wishes to become an importer and distributor of Japanese agricultural products into the Vietnamese market.
Furthermore, in the coming time, the two sides will jointly study and propose to the Government, relevant ministries and sectors of the two countries large-scale investment projects and fruit processing and preservation centres according to the standards of Japan in Vietnam.
