After a field trip to an area planned for developing the smart city, the FIABCI-Korea delegation proposed the province facilitate the implementation of the 300ha project.

A representative from the delegation said the planned area gathers all development potential and geographic advantages to become one of the key regions of the north.

The green environment around Thai Binh River is the best condition for the building of a smart city with residential areas, shopping malls and recreational areas, he said.

The smart city in Hai Duong will lay a firm foundation for not only the current fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) which features information technology and knowledge but also the future fifth Industrial Revolution (Industry 5.0) that requires human creativity at the highest level on the fields of fashion, art and entertainment, he added.

Nguyen Manh Hien, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, affirmed that the local authorities always wish to develop a smart city and will provide all possible conditions for the FIABCI-Korea delegation’s further study and development of the project.

Approved by the local authorities, the delegation will conduct a survey and submit a detailed plan on the project to the province in July.
