Vietnam – Lao Trade Fair 2018 concludes

The 2018 Vietnam-Laos Trade Fair concluded in the Lao capital of Vientiane, on July 2.

This year’s fair featured 320 booths representing 200 enterprises from both countries, including many big brands, such as the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group, Sai Gon New Port Corporation, Company of Economic Cooperation (COECCO), 28 Corporation, Coffee Company 15 (CF15), 183 Mechanical Company (Z183).

The businesses introduced their main products, such as textiles, leather shoes, pharmaceuticals, mechanics, chemicals and handicrafts.

According to the organising board, the five-day fair was attended by nearly 10,000 visitors who came to seek partners and investment opportunities.

11 cooperation agreements were signed between the two countries' enterprises in the fields of agriculture, processing agricultural products, foodstuffs, handicrafts, tourism.

The organisers brought two trade delegations to survey the market in Luang Prabang province in Laos and Udon Thani province in Thailand. There are over 20 Vietnamese enterprises that have connected with more than 50 enterprises in these two provinces; six agreements were signed between the small and medium business association of Hanoi and the women business of Vientiane.
