Covering 45.5 hectares in Song Luy commune, Bac Binh district, the VND 1 trillion plant has a designed capacity of 39MW, using modern technology Mono Perc. It is connected to the national power system via a 110-Kv connection line.

The plant will use machinery and technology provided by top international partners such as Sigma Energy from Spain, Tractebel (Belgium), ABB (Sweden), TMEIC (Japan) and JA Solar (China).

The project is expected to be completed in April, 2019. Each year, the plant will provide roughly 80 million kWh of power, helping to enhance the capacity of the national power grid.

This is the second solar power project to have begun construction in Binh Thuan province and is also a milestone in the new energy development programme of the province. The solar power plant is expected to be the premise for the development of many solar power plants in the province.

On the occasion, representative of the Song Luy 1 solar power plant donated VND 100 million to Song Luy commune to carry out social security work.
