At the 55th Agriculture, Commercial and Industrial Fair of Mozambique (FACIM), held from August 26 to September 1, 2019, in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, Vietnamese goods such as tea, coffee, shoes, confectionery, household products and wooden furniture were highly praised by visitors.

Products of the Movitel telecom company, with the new design quality, especially the 4.5 G service, have attracted the interest of Mozambique people.

The fair brings a good opportunity for businesses to promote import and export cooperation activities, share experiences on producing and processing agricultural products and consumer goods, and enhancing cooperation in construction and mining.

Ambassador Le Huy Hoang and Vietnamese Embassy’s staff also provided useful information for Mozambique's businesses and people, especially on the process of manufacturing and processing products, at the same time introducing regulations and procedures for enterprises of both sides to conduct import and export activities.

Representative of the government of Tete province of Mozambique, Joao Feliciano Dichone Machava, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of the province, expressed his hope the localities of Vietnam and Tete province would promote their cooperation to develop agricultural products such as rice, peanuts, sesame and sugar.

FACIM is Mozambique's largest annual International Trade Fair to promote cooperation on production and trade investment between Mozambique and external partners.

This year’s fair features more than 2000 booths of Mozambique and 22 countries, including France, Germany, China, the Republic of Korea, India, Brazil, Argentina, Egypt, Turkey, South Africa, Thailand and Vietnam.

Vietnam’s stalls, with many typical products, were highly appreciated, demonstrating Vietnam's current strength in terms of telecommunications and agriculture, and contributing to the promotion of Vietnam’s culture, people and landscape.
