It is the largest annual fair in the Mekong Delta region held by the Can Tho Investment-Trade Promotion and Exhibition Centre.
This year's fair has attracted 250 booths from 100 businesses from provinces and cities nationwide and joint-venture and international enterprises from countries such as Japan, the Republic of Korea, Israel and India.
The fair displays and introduces agricultural machinery, processing lines and products used in agriculture and processing; Agricultural materials, fertilizers, plant protection drugs, supporting technologies for hi-tech agriculture, post-harvest preservation techniques; Agricultural, forestry and aquatic products for export, regional specialties, rice and handicrafts, biotechnology, new technology and various plant and animal varieties.
In addition to displaying, introducing, buying and selling products, at the fair, there are also many rich and practical activities such as the workshops "Application of science and technology in agricultural production" ; a Conference on business connections in Can Tho city; Programme to introduce farmers' technical innovation initiatives; a Seminar on "Motivations and solutions to promote technology supply-demand connection"; Training on "Technical guidance on patent writing and patent administration";a Workshop on "Introduction and technology demonstration"; a Coconut leaf cake cooking and wrapping competition and other activities.
According to the organising committee, the Vietnam International Agriculture Fair 2020 has an important and practical meaning in promoting the connection between scientific research, production and business, and between units - localities, businesses-consumers and investors.
The fair is an effective bridge and an important trade promotion channel for economic organisations and enterprises to expand the consumption and export markets of agricultural products, exchange and sign, and contribute to improving the competitiveness and integration of Vietnam.
The fair runs until the November 15, 2020.
