Vietnam International Agricultural Fair opens in Hanoi

The 20th Vietnam International Agricultural Fair – AgroViet 2020, themed “Connecting the value of Vietnamese agricultural products”, officially opened in Hanoi on December 3.

The fair features 220 pavilions from various organisations, cooperatives and enterprises originating in over 30 provinces and cities around the country.

On display are agricultural, forestry, aquatic products, including those from organic and One Commune – One Product (OCOP) projects.

In addition, the fair also features many varieties of plants, ornamental plants and flowers, hydroponics, and materials for agricultural production.

Various handicraft products from traditional trade villages around the country are also being promoted to visitors, such as Kim Dong leather products, Da Sy cutleries, silk, Dak Lak’s stones and Quang Nam agarwood incense.

AgroViet 2020 aims to promote the nation’s agricultural achievements during the international integration process and industrial revolution 4.0.

The fair is expected to offer an opportunity for localities, agencies and enterprises to introduce their brands and products as well as exchange experiences and information.

The event is also a chance for provinces and cities to promote their specialties, potential and strengths in order to attract more investment in hi-tech agriculture.
