Speaking at the seminar, Head of Nhan Dan Online Department Nguyen Ngoc Thanh emphasised that in order to take full advantage of opportunities from trade agreements, in addition to synchronous measures launched by the Government, agencies and localities, the initiative and activeness of enterprises areimportant requirements in realising the benefits and opportunities of the agreements.
The RCEP and other free trade agreements (FTA) will bring opportunities for businesses to actively respond to changes in the business environment due to international economic integration, he added.
The delegates agreed that in the context of COVID-19 outbreak that disrupted global and regional supply chains, the signing of RCEP agreement marked an important milestone in the economic integration process of Vietnam and ASEAN, bringing benefits both in the short and long terms.
They also clarified the role of the Government, ministries, agencies and localities in leading and supporting enterprises to put the RCEP agreement into effective implementation.
The seminar contributed to encouraging and providing businesses with useful information on taking full advantage of opportunities to overcome challenges, towards the best economic efficiency for themselves and for the country in general.
