Yen Bai grants investment licences worth 1,475 billion VND

The northern province of Yen Bai granted investment licences worth a total of 1,475 billion VND (64.8 million USD) to nine investors at a meeting with enterprises on March 27.

They include a project to manufacture solar panels, an ecotourism project, a shaped aluminium factory, a wood export project and a driving education and testing centre.

Yen Bai Chairman Tran Huy Tuan said the province would step up comprehensive administrative reform in the future, with a focus on simplifying and reducing the time for handling administrative procedures in construction, land, investment, tax, and customs.

The province will also take other measures to improve the business environment and enhance its competitiveness to increase the efficiency of attracting investment.

In addition, Yen Bai will provide support for technological innovation and encourage enterprises to adopt digital transformation.

In 2021, Yen Bai recorded 330 newly established enterprises, up 15.8% from the previous year.

Enterprises in the province contributed 1,380 billion VND (60.6 million USD) to the state budget and created jobs for 43,600 people with an average income of 5.8 million VND (254 USD) per month.

As of March 15, there were 585 active projects in Yen Bai Province with a total capital of 86,911 billion VND and 465.7 million USD.
