The complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic have caused many difficulties for businesses in the past two years. Social distancing leads to market disruptions, halting production activities, supply chain disruptions, and job losses for workers. In the early stage of the pandemic, edX Group Joint Stock Company (specialising in investing, building and exploiting the online business ecosystem based in Hanoi) was not greatly affected, but later, the more the company was affected by Covid-19, the more edX Chairman Nguyen Dinh Hung said that all areas of the company's activities were affected. In that context, the edX leadership realised it was time for businesses to restructure their operations and actively transform digitally to adapt to the new situation. First, in order not to interrupt work, edX moved all operations to an online environment: personnel working online, meeting and reporting daily results, training online.
Thanks to this, edX has taken advantage of the team of collaborators working from home to avoid the epidemic. The company also implemented more digital businesses such as building a Blockchain Diamond Network project and receiving an investment offer of more than US$10 million; opening short-term online training courses on Blockchain, attracting hundreds of students.
Thanks to these timely changes, despite many difficulties, edX continues to maintain good operations, and at the same time is finding many new development directions for the next period ahead.
Meanwhile, for the Greenpan Vietnam Joint Stock Company (Binh Tan Industrial Park, Ho Chi Minh City), in order to maintain operations in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of each officer and employee is the priority. According to company CEO Dao Ngoc Long, despite the prolonged pandemic, Greenpan still maintains benefits as well as having a flexible working regime to ensure the lives of employees.
Specifically, the company has organised 100% of employees to be vaccinated; implementing the working plan under the “three on the spot” model; testing Covid-19 on a weekly basis. The value and stature of an entrepreneur is not only to be judged by their number of assets but also by their contribution and dedication to society, bringing happiness to everyone. This is the ultimate goal of every citizen, and entrepreneurs must be the vanguard in this mission.
