Running from November 15 to December 31, this event is co-organised by the municipal Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Tourism, and the Department of Health with the goal of supporting the business community in the city to boost the consumption of goods and manage inventory.

It also contributes to stabilising economic growth and resuming production and business activities throughout the city.

According to the organising board, nearly 590 businesses have registered to join the Shopping Season, who will provide customers with more than 1,690 promotional programmes.

The participating businesses are encouraged to host their promotional activities in various forms with priority on boosting online activity and cashless payments.

The organising board has also stepped up communication efforts for the event to attract a wider range of customers while making final preparations for other supporting events including fairs, trade exhibitions, and conferences to enhance the supply and demand connection for goods between Ho Chi Minh City and other localities in December.

Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Promotion Fair 2021 will be held from December 21 to 26 at Phu Tho Gymnasium in District 11, featuring up to 450 booths.
