Vietnamese Lunar New Year products introduced at French supermarket

Carrefour Group and the Vietnam Trade Office in France, jointly held an opening ceremony for the Vietnam New Year Week, at Carrefour Ormesson supermarket, on the outskirts of Paris on January 20, to mark the occasion of the upcoming Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

The Vietnamese pavilion was prominently decorated with conical hats, lanterns and brilliant red carpets, while introducing Vietnamese agricultural products and food to French customers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang spoke highly of Carrefour Group’s initiative in organising the Vietnamese Lunar New Year week, with many Vietnamese products on sale throughout the system of Carrefour supermarkets across France.

Vietnamese food products have become more and more popular to French customers, he noted.

According to CEO of Carrefour Group Rami Baitieh, the Asian New Year is now one of the most important consumer events of the year and Carrefour is actively promoting Asian and Vietnamese products and cuisines to French customers.
