Representatives of business associations said that Ho Chi Minh City should pay more attention to upgrading logistics infrastructure to a higher level, such as operating a flexible traffic system controlled using artificial intelligence and expanding inter-regional highways to facilitate the circulation of goods.

The city also needs to establish a policy to ‘nurture’ the component manufacturing industry to serve as a premise to attract international corporations with high science and technology content.

They also highlighted the importance of strengthening regional connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and other localities in the Southern Key Economic Zone to attract more FDI enterprises.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai affirmed that the city attaches great importance to the foreign investor community, while recognising and giving thanks for the great contributions of the FDI business community to the development of the city.

Therefore, the city will maintain regular meetings with businesses to listen to their suggestions for development orientation and cooperation opportunities, as well as to better respond to business opinions.
