Committee set up to implement economic recovery programme

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed a decision on the establishment of a steering committee to implement the socio-economic recovery and development programme.

Its function is to help the Prime Minister research, direct and coordinate when dealing with important inter-sectoral issues related to the programme, and financial and monetary policies supporting the programme.

The Steering Committee is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai, with deputy heads including Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Deputy Minister of Finance Vo Thanh Hung and Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Pham Thanh Ha.

Its membership is comprised of officials from various ministries and government agencies, having the Ministry of Planning and Investment as the standing agency of the Steering Committee.
