Petrolimex, the largest oil product distributor in Vietnam, says a litre of RON 92 and RON 95 is now priced at VND22,890 and VND23,490, respectively.

Under the latest round of fuel price cut, a litre of diesel is also reduced by VND880 while kerosene saw a reduction of VND850 per litre. Mazut was also cut by VND730 per kilogram.

A Petrolimex official said the price cut came as a result of the decline in global prices in the last 30 days.

This is the first price cut in October and the 15th cut so far this year.

Over the past several months, reductions in fuel prices have helped bring down inflation, which eased to 3.62% in September.
