Addressing the ground-breaking ceremony, Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang spoke highly of efforts made by the project management board, contractors and design units in implementing the project.

The minister also urged Hanoi, especially Long Bien district to take more effective measures to complete the land acquisition process in the fourth quarter of the year, in order to ensure the progress of the project.

The project’s investors and contractors should also ensure capital and human resource to implement the project on schedule and meet quality and technical requirements, the minister noted.

The VND800 billion bidding package has been implemented under an ODA loan agreement sourced by the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA).

Le Ngoc Hoa, General Director of the Civil Engineering Construction Corporation No.4 (Cienco 4), who represents the consortium of contractors Cienco 4 and Thang Long said they would mobilise resources of equipment, human resources, and finance to make sure the interchange would open to traffic before the Lunar New Year Festival 2016.
