Deputy PM calls on Japanese firms to boost investment in Vietnam

At a reception for Governor Yoshinobu Nisaka of Wakayama prefecture, Japan in Hanoi on March 11, the Deputy Prime Minister spoke highly of the expanding co-operation between the Japanese prefecture and the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and several Vietnamese provinces over the past.

He asked the Japanese prefecture to send experts to assist Vietnam with fishing, as well as preserving and processing high-quality aquatic products.

Governor Yoshinobu said his prefecture is strong in agriculture and seafood development, adding that his ongoing visit to Vietnam is to discuss co-operation opportunities in those specific fields with central and northern provinces of Nghe An, Quang Ninh, Khanh Hoa and Binh Dinh.

He expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Government will create all possible conditions for the two sides to reach new co-operation deals in agriculture, tourism, and trade, citing the import of agricultural material from Vietnam and the transfer of processing technology and production models as examples.
