Ho Chi Minh City grants investment licenses to hi-tech projects

The Ho Chi Minh City Hi-tech Park (HTP) management board granted investment licences to two projects with total investment of US$186 million at a ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 11.

The first licensed project is Bivid Pharmaceutical Plant by Binh Duc Viet Ltd. Company with the total investment of US$120 million. The plant, which will be built on 80,000 square metres to produce around 150 million bottles of medicine per year, is planned to be inaugurated and operate at the beginning of 2017 to supply high-quality medicines at low prices for exports to developed countries.

The second project is invested by New HaNam Ltd. Company from the Republic of Korea with the total investment of US$74 million on 30,000 square metres. The plant, which is expected to operate in August 2016 and create 200 new jobs for skilled workers, will provide around 26 million products annually to Samsung, including engines and components for household appliances.
