The firms, many of which are listed in Top 500 Chinese businesses, have brought 250 booths to the three-day event, showcasing their latest equipment and technological solutions in mechanics and electronics.

Products and equipment on display include machines used in industry, agriculture, mining, wood processing and interior, means of transport, construction materials and home appliances.

Speaking at the opening, Tran Quoc Khanh, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, said that the expo is a significant promotional activity for trade, as it has helped Vietnamese and Chinese businesses expand their cooperation and investment in mechanics and electronics.

This is the second time the expo by the CAEXPO Secretariat and the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Trade Promotion Agency has been held in Vietnam.

The first edition, held last year, featured more than 100 Chinese businesses with around 300 booths on display and attracted thousands of visitors, with dozens of contracts being signed.
