Once operational, the system is expected to significantly improve the availability and efficiency of the distribution networks in 21 cities and provinces in the southern region of Vietnam as well as reduce power losses.

SCADA systems are used on the operator interface for the control and monitoring of power networks while the DMS optimizes the distribution network control.

Spectrum Power, the SCADA/DMS product from Siemens, gives grid operators control over network management and energy flow. In addition, it helps to cut the cost of network maintenance and to speed up the repair of faults.

In addition, 110kV Unmanned Substations will enable EVNSPC to make a huge saving thanks to the efficient and effective utilization of their labour source.
