The Canadian market is a completely new market for Vietnam's shipbuilding industry and this is the first time Ha Long Shipbuilding Company has carried out such a project with a Canadian partner.

Fishing Trawler is a medium-range vessel which is 29.1 metres long, 10.3 metres wide and 5 meters high.

This latest generation of fishing ship is an offshore fishing ship which will be used off the coast of Northern Canada.

The ship is equipped with special fish detection equipment, a fish selection and classification system and a fish preservation system up to the highest international standards.

The shipbuilding contract for Fishing Trawler between Ha Long Shipbuilding Company and Cyril Piercey, owner of Hill Enterprises, was signed in December 2016 and the vessel is scheduled to be handed over to the customer in April 2018.

Ha Long Shipbuilding Company has boosted its trade promotion and has actively sought out new customers due to the difficulties in the domestic and international shipbuilding markets in recent years. The company has signed several export contracts and is expected to sign more large contracts in 2018, creating more jobs and income for its workers.
