According to the organising board, the products that were honored include handicraft products, machines, agricultural equipment, seeds, agricultural and food products and a number of other products.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Cao Quoc Hung said that honouring the typical rural industrial products aims to promote the development of rural industrial products, stimulate creativity in enterprises and improve the quality of goods in order to meet the demand of international economic integration.
Meanwhile, the trade fair on typical rural industrial products is expected to create opportunities for enterprises to exchange experiences in production and promote business cooperation, he added.
The fair also aims to create favorable conditions for the participating businesses to introduce their products to customers, contributing to promoting the “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods” campaign.
The fair runs until September 24 at National Exhibition Construction Center, No.01 Do Duc Duc Street, Me Tri Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, in Hanoi.
