Addressing the signing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tuan briefed representatives of the association on the natural conditions and socio-economic development situation in the province.

Tuan showed his hope that in the coming time, the association will share experience with Hau Giang and support the province in accessing the ROK market.

The association should create favourable conditions for local agricultural firms and cooperatives to partner with RoK enterprises in producing agricultural products and while assisting Hau Giang in high-technology agriculture.

Meanwhile, Kim Sam Sik, President of the Jeonnam-Gwangju agricultural technique association, said that the association will work hard to support Hau Giang and foster friendship and connectivity with the province.

This year, Hau Giang has signed a number of memorandas of understanding on agricultural cooperation with various RoK provinces, including those with Jeonnam-Gwangju research institute and North Gyeongsang province.

Currently, Hau Giang has developed a number of agricultural material areas, including rice, sugarcane, fruit and aquaculture, meeting domestic and export demand. It has also built a 5,200 hectares hi-tech agricultural area with the aim of promoting agricultural growth towards higher technology and quality, focusing on rice, fruit and breeding.
