Chinese delegate Xiong Xiangren, who was elected president of the association, said that the ACA will make efforts to devise standards, form pricing mechanisms, support brands, and expand Asian coffee culture.

ACA members can exchange information and resources and the ACA welcomes collaboration from countries both inside and outside the region, he stressed.

The association, initiated by more than 20 Asian countries in 2015, was registered in Colombo, Sri Lanka in July, 2017. Its only representative office is in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province.
