Vietnamese confectionery products welcomed at international food fair in Bangladesh

Confectionery products, cakes and foodstuffs of Vietnam’s Huu Nghi Food Joint Stock Company were warmly welcomed by visitors to the fifth International Exhibition and Conference of Food and Beverage Products, Processing, Packaging Machinery and Allied Technologies (FoodPro), which was held in Bangladesh from November 23 to 25.

Vietnam's booth welcomes more than 200 visitors during the three-day event

The Vietnamese company was among 250 businesses from 16 countries participating at the trade show, which was hosted by the Bangladesh Agro-processors Association (BAPA).

While visiting the company’s booth on the opening day of November 23, Vietnamese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Tran Van Khoa highly appreciated the participation at the event, noting that the Bangladesh market poses both huge potential and challenges for Vietnamese businesses.

BAPA President AFM Fakhrul Islam Munsh said that he was impressed by the quality, packaging and design of Vietnamese confectionary products.

He also called for further investment and expanded operation of Vietnamese food business in Bangladeshi markets.

During the three-day event, the booth welcomed more than 200 visitors, who gave positive feedbacks on the quality and taste of the company’s products.

The company also met around 100 Bangladeshi trade partners who are operating in food manufacturing and processing, opening opportunities for the company to expand cooperation and boost exports to the South Asian country in the coming time.

According to the Vietnamese Embassy in Bangladesh, the Vietnam-Bangladesh trade fair will be held next year by the embassy and the Bangladesh-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry embassy as an effort to facilitate Vietnamese businesses’ access to the Bangladeshi market.

The event also aims to help Vietnamese businesses discover trade trade partners and advertise their products to Bangladeshi consumers.
