Deputy General Director of Amway Vietnam Huynh Thien Trieu (C) receives the Top 100 Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam 2017 Award.

This is the second consecutive year that Amway Vietnam has been awarded this title, which was conducted by the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development, under the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), to honour the 100 best corporate social responsibility (CSR) enterprises in Vietnam in the past year.

The rankings were made through the consideration of the Corporate Sustainability Index - one of the VCCI's initiatives to promote sustainability in the business community, as a measure to value businesses based on sustainable development criteria in terms of economics, the environment and society, reflecting the credibility and social and environmental responsibilities of the businesses.

As the only company in the industry to be included in the Top 100 for two consecutive years, Amway Vietnam has proved that it is deploying the correct development strategy and contributions to the community, with environmental protection compliance in production, the fulfillment of tax obligations, and commitment to quality of products and services to customers.

Leo Boon Wang, General Director of Amway Vietnam, said that Amway has contributed to the sustainable development of Vietnam not only through its products and services, but also through ethical business standards and community support. The CSR Day launched by the corporation is a way to encourage its members to build a responsible culture in every process of business. In addition, it also develops a number of social programmes to support the community, including the Nutrilite Power of 5 providing nutrition to malnourished children in Vietnam.

The Nutrilite Power of 5 programme has been implemented for the last three years, providing over 230,000 Nutrilite Little Bits packages for more than 2,000 malnourished children and those at risk of stunted growth, along with nutrition education and communication for parents and teachers in schools in Bac Giang province. In 2017, the programme aimed to offer nearly 189,000 Nutrilite Little Bits packages for 2,100 malnourished children in Bao Thang district, Lao Cai province.

During nearly ten years of its presence in Vietnam, Amway has been honoured with numerous prestigious Vietnamese and international awards. With manufacturing plants in Binh Duong province and 12 branches and distribution centres throughout Vietnam, the US-based group produces and provides a wide range of high quality products in the field of health and beauty.
