Vietnam Electricity (EVN) came in second place on the list, followed by Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, Viettel Group, and Vietnam National Petroleum Group.
According to the report, Vietnam’s economy witnessed positive signs of recovery in 2017, with 75% of businesses participating in the VNR’s survey reporting increased revenue.
VNR statistics also show that, over the past decade, the number of private enterprises has increased tenfold, accounting for nearly 50% of the total number of firms on this year’s list.
On the occasion, Vietnam Report published the Top 50 Vietnam the Best 2017 to honour 50 firms which have been listed in the VNR500 for three consecutive years, whilst recording the largest revenues, and effectively performing their corporate social responsibility.
The top 10 most prestigious listed companies, top 10 pharmaceutical companies, and top 10 travel companies were also announced at the ceremony.
Launched by the Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Report) and the VietNamNet online newspaper 11 years ago, the VNR500 aims to honour the achievements of the largest enterprises which represent Vietnam’s business community in each financial year.
