Speaking at the launch ceremony, President Tran Dai Quang emphasised that since the launch of the Doi Moi (reform) process, the Vietnamese economy has been operating under a socialist-oriented market mechanism and the Party and State have encouraged the roles of the private sector in the nation’s development.

Many private enterprises have step by step enhanced the quality of their products and services; and effectively participated in global value chains, as well as contributing to promoting the image, and enhancing the position, of Vietnamese enterprises in the international arena, the President said.

The State leader also spoke highly of the efforts made by the VPBA over the past few fears. It has joined hands with the relevant organisations to carry out the Party and State’s socio-cultural-economic development policies and has made significant contributions to alleviating poverty and ensuring social security in the country, he noted.

President Quang urged domestic enterprises to reform their operations and take advantage of the fourth industrial revolution for their sustainable development, while contributing to national growth and studying and applying advanced technology to enhance labour productivity, competitiveness, and business management capacity.

The President also asked the ministries, agencies and local administrations to promote communication work in order to raise public awareness of the Party and State’s consistent policies to develop the private economic sector.
