The event was attended by Standing National Assembly vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong.

This is the first factory in Vietnam that will process juice and concentrated juice from oranges and longan, with the most advanced and fully automatic extraction technology developed by Riekermann GMBH of Germany.

Addressing the ceremony, Standing NA vice Chairwoman Phong highly appreciated the TH Group for providing the world's most modern technology for Son La.

Covering an area of over 14.3 hectares in Van Ho district, the US$52.8 million factory is jointly invested in by TH Group and Son La provincial People’s Committee.

The first phase of the factory is scheduled to begin operation at the end of 2019, with investment capital of VND 300 million (US$13,200), while the second phase will have investment capital of VND 900 million (US$39,500).

The plant, with a capacity of 30,000 tonnes of products per year, will create jobs for nearly 200 employees working directly at the factory and thousands of indirect workers in Son La province. TH Group is expected to cooperate with farmers in key fruit planting areas in Son La, such as Van Ho, Moc Chau, Mai Son, Bac Yen and Phu Yen in order to create areas to produce the raw materials.
