Conference shows Ha Giang province's potential to international friends

A conference was held in Hanoi on February 1 to promote the image, potential, and strength of Ha Giang province to international friends.

Under the title of ‘Ha Giang – integration and development’, the event was jointly organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ha Giang provincial People’s Committee.

The conference featured the participation of 500 delegates, including the leaders of ministries and central agencies as well as Ambassadors and representatives of international organisations and enterprises in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said that Ha Giang still has many potentialities which are yet to be fully utilised.

The support and cooperation of foreign organisations are necessary to preserve and promote the beauty of the locality’s nature and culture as well as to improve the people’s lives, he added.

Secretary of Ha Giang provincial Party Committee Trieu Tai Vinh said that the province has implemented numerous measures to improve the environment for business and investment and facilitate administrative reform for enterprises and investors.

At the conference, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son presented details of priority fields for investment in the locality, including tourism and high-tech agriculture, as well as mobilised aid from non-governmental organisations.

Many international guests greatly appreciated the support from local authorities in the implementation of their projects in the province.

They also pledged to continue their cooperation and invest in new projects in Ha Giang and other northern provinces and cities in the near future.
