The Ministries of Finance and Industry and Trade have decided to leave the petrol price unchanged in the newest price adjustment on June 7.

The change came from a decision by the Ministries of Finance and Industry and Trade to adjust the spending levels under the fund to stabilise the prices of petroleum products across Vietnam on Thursday.

Accordingly, the discharge level for RON 95 gasoline was down to VND698 per litre (down VND133 per litre compared to the use of VND831 per litre from the fund in the previous adjustment). Meanwhile, the rate for E5 RON 92 is at VND1,270 per litre (down VND155 per litre).

The fund surplus before the petrol price adjustment stood at more than VND2.3 trillion.

After issuing the notice on regulating the petrol price as mentioned above, the two ministries asked retailers to keep stable prices for popular petroleum products in the market.

Currently, the prices of gasoline products consumed in the market are as follows: E5 RON92 not higher than VND19,940/litre, RON95-III not higher than VND21,511/litre, 0.05S diesel not higher than VND17,694/litre, kerosene not higher than VND16,440/litre, mazut 180CST 3.5S not higher than VND14,437/kg.

During yesterday’s new petrol price adjustment, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) decided to keep the petrol retail price unchanged compared to the current price, applied in all units under its distribution network nationwide.

This is the 11th petrol price adjustment since the beginning of the year.

At the current, the price for RON 95 IV is at VND21,710/litre, RON 95 III VND21,510/litre, and E5 RON 92 is at VND19,940 a litre.
