The company stated that shipments from Hanoi will now reach major business centres within the Asia region in just one day and two days for Europe and North America destinations.

Furthermore, shipments to Hanoi from around the world will arrive one day faster.

The new route will see four flights a week from Tuesday to Friday using a Boeing 757, FedEx stated.

According to Hardy Diec, managing director of FedEx Indochina, the new route will significantly improve shipping times and enable next-day delivery between Hanoi and the Asia region for the first time.

The new route and improved services will support the development of businesses in Vietnam by providing them with better and faster connections to global markets.

A study conducted by FedEx shows that 58% of small and medium-sized Vietnamese enterprises are exporting to the Asia-Pacific region and 80% to countries beyond the region.

The US, China, India and a number of European countries are Vietnam’s key export markets.
