Reports published at the event show that in the first six months of the year, the commission has actively implemented its assigned tasks with a range of measures to deal with related socio-economic issues of social concern and consulted with the Politburo and Secretariat.
The board has developed a macroeconomic situation report on the basis of research and analysis based on official data from the relevant agencies. It also effectively carried out consultation with experts during the research and made their assigned reports to the Politburo and the Secretariat.
Speaking at the event, Politburo member, Nguyen Van Binh, who is also the head of the commission, highly praised the efforts by the staff under the central economic think tank, who effectively organised important economic and technological forums over the past few months, as well as tightening coordination with the Government Party Committee to improve the quality and efficiency of advisory work.
Stating that the commission has concentrated its resources to complete the projects assigned by the Politburo and the Secretariat on schedule with ensured quality, Politburo member Binh also urged the board to continue upholding responsibility and improving their professional capacity and working methods to fulfill their tasks in the future.
The commission should cooperate closely with the relevant agencies, experts, scientists and collaborators to best mobilise their experiences and resources to promote the role of the Central Economic Commission in advising national strategic planning of major socio-economic policies, he stressed.
