Speaking at the opening session of the National Conference on Enterprise Investment in Agriculture, in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, on July 30, Deputy PM Dung asked the delegates to focus on clarifying measures to resolve the difficulties in agricultural investment promotion.

The Deputy PM emphasised that the 10th Party Central Committee’s Resolution No.26 in 2008 asserted the important role and strategic position of agriculture, rural development, and farmers.

The Government has also issued a number of major agricultural investment policies as stipulated in the Resolution, he said, adding that the issuance of many specific policies has shown the dedicated focus of the Government and Prime Minister and served to realise the Party and State guidelines on enhancing agricultural and rural development.

Delegates at the conference highlighted the important role played by enterprises in agricultural and rural development, while emphasising the need to establish chains of connection from production to consumption and improve infrastructure for agricultural development.
