The delegation of Vietnamese enterprises features several famous brand names in the field of agricultural and aquatic product processing, such as Da Kao, Nam Viet, Pearl, Tan Phat, Hanoi Trade Joint Stock Corporation, Trung Nguyen Group, and TH Group.

They are showcasing various Vietnamese products, such as cashews, tea, coffee, canned tuna and dairy products. Vietnamese businesses have expressed their hope that the event will promote Vietnamese agricultural products to Russian consumers, while allowing them to find partners to export their products to the Russian market.

Located in the exhibition area for the Vietnam delegation are more than 10 booths run by Vietnamese enterprises. The rich and diversified goods have attracted great attention from local businesses and visitors.

Trislap, a Russian professor from Riazan city, about 200km from Moscow, expressed his interest in Vietnamese products to Nhan Dan Newspaper’s Russia correspondent: "I am very interested in coffee products, especially Vietnamese coffee because I often enjoy the very good coffee presented by Vietnamese people at my school. I have come to this fair to look for the different coffee products like the ones I have already tasted.”

Nguyen Quoc Toan, Acting Head of the Department of Agro-product Processing and Market Development under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), said that his ministry is focusing on expanding trade promotion and market development in Russia and Eastern Europe, in addition to traditional markets, such as China and ASEAN.

As the 2018 WorldFood Moscow is a large-scale international trade fair gathering many major brands, the appearance of Vietnamese enterprises is very important, he said, adding that the Vietnamese enterprises’ booths have attracted a large number of visitors, which is proof of the attractiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products to Russian customers.

Within the framework of the event, the MARD will organise a trade conference between Vietnamese enterprises and Russian ones, aiming to help Russian companies better understand Vietnamese agricultural products, so that they can find partners and sign business cooperation contracts.

The 27th WorldFood Moscow expo attracts more than 1,500 companies from 62 countries and territories. At the last edition of the event, there were nearly 30,000 visitors to the fair.
