The five-day event, themed “Developing and applying science and technology in farm produce production, processing and consumption”, features 450 pavilions showcasing diverse products in the areas of farming machinery, equipment, production lines, processing, agricultural supplies, fertiliser and plant protection drugs, and supporting industries in service of high-tech agriculture.

Others on display also include agro-forestry and fishery products, regional specialties, high-quality seedlings and fruits that generate high economic efficiency, and consumer goods in service of farmers and rural areas.

According to the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the annual fair aims to help businesses promote their brands to their target subjects, find new potential customers, and accurately evaluate market trends, thereby designing appropriate strategies in production development.

A number of activities are also scheduled within the framework of the fair, including a festival honouring Vietnam’s tra fish products, a workshop on building and developing the added value chain of key farm products, and a seminar on measures to boost the exports of farm produce from Can Tho and the Mekong Delta region to the United States market.
