The speedboat, built in Vietnam and designed according to modern European standards, has a capacity of carrying nearly 600 passengers.

It is scheduled that the speedboat will begin commercial operations in the first quarter of 2019 and will travel the route between Vung Tau - Con Dao and Tran De - Con Dao.

The Con Dao Express 36 is 46.85m long, 12.2m wide and has a maximum speed of 35 nautical miles per hour, which will help to shorten the travelling time from Vung Tau to Con Dao to just 3 hours.

The passenger cabins include economy, Dulex and VIP seats. Each VIP seat is equipped with a separate entertainment screen and soundproof floor.

The operation of the Con Dao Express 36 marks a significant change of Phu Quoc Express JSC after one-year of running five speedboats with a capacity of carrying 300 passengers each at the islands of Phu Quoc, Nam Du and Hon Son in Kien Giang province.
