The two documents will be issued in early 2019 as Resolution 01 and 02 respectively.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the contents of the two draft resolutions have quite adequately reflected the tasks and solutions in accordance with the spirit of the resolutions of the Central Committee and the National Assembly.

He added that Resolution 01 is not only a resolution on socio-economic development but also represents political determination and aspiration for development of the government.

According to the government leader, Resolution 01 should clearly state that macroeconomic stability is a consistent top priority and the foundation for rapid and sustainable growth.

Meanwhile efforts need to be made in order to prevent revenue loss and transfer pricing while reducing spending and preventing wastefulness in public investment.

The PM also requested the addition of a section on applying digital technologies as one of the strategic breakthroughs and emphasised high-tech agriculture, manufacturing, IT and tourism as new drivers of growth.

Concerning Resolution 02, PM Phuc stated that it needs to highlight the situation in 2019 along with the need to further improve the business environment and enhance national competitiveness.

He added that the resolution needs to point out the priorities on which to focus resources in order to produce noticeable changes.

The PM said the focus of management will be on enhancing the internal strength of the economy, building an honest and action-oriented apparatus, and strengthening the management of natural resources.
