The inaugural ceremony took place on March 27 in the presence of Politburo member and head of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai.

Mai said she was pleased to know that the farm is employing high technology in cow rearing and management.

The farm is home to 8,000 cows and was built at a cost of VND1,200 (US$50 million).

Since Tay Ninh province is located in a region with a dry and hot climate, therefore Vinamilk has designed a system of nine reservoirs combined with an advanced cooling system installed in the cattle houses to provide the best conditions for the cows.

The Vinamilk farm in Tay Ninh province meets global good agricultural practices in terms of farm management and milk quality.

The farm, with the current output of 100,000 litres of milk per day, equivalent to nearly 40 million litres a year, is expected to not only help Vinamilk achieve its growth targets but also contribute to local economic development.

Vinamilk CEO Mai Kieu Lien stated that the company wants to make dairy cow farming into a high-tech industry of Vietnam and make Vietnam’s agricultural sector approach global standards in dairy cow farming.
