The event featured the participation of 500 enterprises from Vietnam and 22 other countries and territories worldwide, including Algeria, India, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Indonesia, China, Nepal, Japan and Russia.
With 600 pavilions, the 2019 Vietnam Expo introduces a large number of products in different commodities, such as machines, equipment, auxiliary industry, electronics, civil electricity, food, beverages and consumer goods.
Among the domestic participants, there were many enterprises with national brand products including Duy Tan Plastics Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company, and Hanoi Trade Joint Stock Corporation (Hapro).
An for investment promotion of Vietnamese industry, which was designed by the Centre for Trade and Investment Promotionunder the Department of Trade Promotion of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, will be an important highlight of this year’sexpo.
Visitors will be provided with updated information concerning the investment environment in Vietnam as well as eight major key industries in association with investment destinations including Dong Thap, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Kien Giang, Thanh Hoa, Yen Bai, Vinh Long and Binh Thuan.
A special pavilion of the design industry was jointly executed by Vietnamese and Republic of Korea (RoK) agencies, spotlighting the importance of the design in developing products and increasing added values, as well as introducing high-quality brands and design models.
International pavilions are expected to offer many cooperation opportunities for domestic businesses as well as attract more investment and technological transfers.
The annual fair will run until April 13.
