Politburo member and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan made the remarks at a conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on April 20 to review the 10-year implementation of the campaign launched by the Politburo.

Nhan noted that the campaign has proved its significance in terms of the market, while promoting people’s patriotism and pride in domestically produced goods.

He also called on enterprises to continue improving the quality of their products to gainthe trust of consumers.

In response to the campaign, Ho Chi Minh City has conducted a number of programmes to stabilise the market regarding four types of goods including food-food stuff, goods serving the new school year, milk, and essential pharmaceutical products.

The results of the campaign over the past few years have affirmed that it is the correct policy, creating a spillover effect in the whole of society and changes in the awareness of domestic consumers.

Thus, the Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee for the campaign suggested that the campaign continues to be promoted in the future with more substantial action programmes.
