Vina Japan Shirogane Logistics Centre inaugurated

Vina-Japan Shirogane Logistics Company Ltd and Thanh Binh Phu My Joint Stock Company organised a ceremony to inaugurate Vina Japan Shirogane Logistics Centre (VJS) at Phu My 3 Industrial Park, Phu My town, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, on June 7.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Long, Vice Chairman of Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial People's Committee stressed that VJS project is expected to contribute positively to the development of logistics services in the province as well as improving efficiency of using the Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster. The project is scheduled to contribute to the development of the seaport, trade and investment economy in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in particular, as well as promoting the flow of goods between the countries in the region and the world.

The US$5.4-million logistics centre is expected to become one of the key logistics centres in the southern province, meeting the needs of enterprises in the park but also elsewhere in the province and even in neighbouring provinces.

The project, covering 2.25ha, have a steel structure covering nearly 6,300sq.m and eight container entry points to meet a variety of cargo handling needs.

The facility will help reduce costs for and provide value to investors.

Work started in July 2018, the project has focused on developing integrated logistics services, including transportation agencies, warehousing and storage, customs procedures, packaging and labelling of goods for distribution and others.
