Vietnam - China Youth Development Forum

The Vietnam - China Youth Development Forum took place in Zunyi city, Guizhou province, China, on June 24, as part of activities as part of the 19th Vietnam-China youth friendship meeting.

The event was attended by Secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Secretary of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) Li Ke Yong, leaders of Zunyi city and nearly 200 youth representatives from the two countries.

Addressing the forum, Secretary of HCMCYU Nguyen Ngoc Luong highly appreciated the significance of the first Vietnam - China Youth Development Forum, which contributed to help cooperation between young people of the two countries continue to be strengthened and become more substantive.

The event is considered as an important occasion for delegates to exchange and discuss valuable experiences, good practices, and effective models in implementing youth movement; as well as propose ideas to enhance cooperation and enhance revolutionary ideal education for young people of the two countries.

The youth are people with open minds and strong creativity, according to Secretary of CYLC Li Ke Yong. He also said that the cooperation and exchanges between young people of the two countries can create strong vitality and motivation to promote the development of relations between China and Vietnam.

Secretary Li Ke Yong expressed his wish that the two countries' youth continued to inherit and promote the traditional friendship, aiming to promote strategic relations between the two countries; grasp the development opportunities of each country, promote the common development of young people through real cooperation; promote traditional culture; and enhance exchanges between the two countries people.

As part of the forum, the speeches of the youth delegates of the two countries focused on the development process and the exchange experience in Youth Union activities and increase mutual understanding, especially in history, culture, politics and socio-economy, the leadership role of the Communist Party with revolutionary and youth; youth movements; and measures to further strengthen cooperation between the HCMCYU and the CYLC.
