VND800 billion pharmaceutical factory inaugurated in Phu Yen

A new pharmaceutical factory was inaugurated by the Pymepharco Joint Stock Company in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province, on July 12, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the company's establishment.

The Pymepharco JSC started construction on the Hoang Van Thu Pharmaceutical Factory on an area of 30,000 m2, at No. 189 Hoang Van Thu street, ward 9, Tuy Hoa City, on January 31 last year.

With a total investment of nearly VND 800 billion, it has a capacity of 1.2 billion tablets/year/production shift, invested according to EU-GMP technical standards.

The project was completed after 18 months with the support of foreign experts and is one of the modern factories reaching the regional and world level. With technical advice from FormaPharm and technology transfer from Germany’s Stada, the factory is able to join the global supply chain, giving Vietnamese people the opportunity to use high quality drugs at reasonable prices.

Established on July 23, 1989, Pymepharco has achieved remarkable achievements over the past 30 years. It has become one of the leading pharmaceutical manufacturers in Vietnam and the region with production systems meeting EU-GMP standards, along with a nationwide distribution system consisting of 19 branches, representative offices and specialised stores.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Pham Dai Duong, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People's Committee, said that Hoang Van Thu Pharmaceutical Factory is an important milestone in the successful history of Pymepharco, while also marking a new period of outstanding development for Pymepharco and Phu Yen province.
