Committee for Management of State Capital at Enterprises urged to improve operation

Speaking at the meeting, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc acknowledged that the Committee’s apparatus was essentially formed and initially stabilised. The Government leader also urged the committee to focus on discussing and proposing measures and solutions to enhance the effectiveness of its operation.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc said improving the efficiency of the use of the State capital, thus enhancing the competitiveness of the whole economy, was a basic requirement to boost the role of the State sector.

The 19 State-owned enterprises are at the core of the national economy, he said, adding that the committee must work to overcome the weakness and create a big difference to the State sector and each enterprise to increase its efficiency.

CMSC Chairman Nguyen Hoang Anh, the Committee has so far issued 31 regulations, internal management regulations and 15 internal work instructions.

A number of information technology and testing systems have been built to connect corporations and enterprises as well as steps to modernise the management activities of the Committee, he added.

The committee was officially launched on September 29, 2018 according to the Decree No.131/2018/ND-CP of the Government, with the aim of separating State capital management from corporate administration to enhance the efficiency of 19 State-owned enterprises.
