The programme is co-hosted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Centre for Social Initiatives Promotion (CSIP).

Running through October 2019, the programme focuses on seeking and supporting business initiatives that address challenges in five major areas, including sustainable agriculture, environment and climate change, sustainable tourism, women empowerment, and inclusive business.

It is open to organisations, businesses and individuals across the country whose initiatives can address the above-mentioned challenges. The winners will have the opportunity to receive in-cash prizes up to VND 100 million, and be connected with financial resources from domestic and foreign investors from up to US$ 300,000 for each initiative.

Truong Thi Thanh Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of CSIP's Board of Directors, said that En Xanh is the first and official programme in Vietnam to foster business initiatives that address social and environmental issues.

The honouring ceremony will be held at the end of October 2019 with the seminar and Gala night celebrating outstanding initiatives and individuals of 2019.
